Fun, adventure, and life skills for all young people
The 4th Northampton's young members are organised into three Sections:

-
Beavers caters for young people from the age of 6 through to 8. Led by Froggy and Aimee, the Beavers focus on fun and foundational skills.
-
Cubs caters for young people from the age of 8 through to 10½. Led by Akela, Baloo, Hathi, and Kaa, the Cubs step up the adventure from Beavers, and dive deeper into the tenets of learn by doing (while, of course, having fun!)
-
Scouts caters for young people from the age of 10½ through to 14. Led by Maria and Ian, the Scouts expand their skills with a mixture of adventure, learning, and fun.
-
And beyond? Scouting does not stop after Scouts! The District organise Explorers, catering for young people from the age of 14 through to 18, opening up avenues to more adventure, further personal growth, and further honing of Skills for Life.

Each Section organises its own programme and events, but the Group as a whole meets regularly at least once per term:

-
March Group Challenge weekend event
-
Spring Scouts' Own and Presentations
-
May visit to the District Gang Show
-
May Group AGM and Trophy Presentations
-
July Group Campfire
-
Group Carol Singing
-
Christmas Scouts' Own and Presentations - End of Year Pow-Wow

The Group also supports Christ Church for several services during the year, including Mothering Sunday and Remembrance Sunday.
